History
The history of Brier Bank Farm dates back to the 1950's, when Jack and Nancy Misegades purchased the land for their home. Their daughter, Gay, became interested in horses in the early 1970's while spending several years living on a horse farm in Powell, Ohio that her father worked for.
When Gay returned to Illinois, she begged her father for a small barn. The small barn grew into a larger one, and Brier Bank Farm was born. The farm gets its name from the brier bushes that can be found growing along the banks of a creek that runs through the property.
Gay persued her love of horses over the years and built Brier Bank Farm into a successful business. In 1986 her son David Anderson was born. From very early on riding his first love Fudge, horses have always been a part of David's life. From training stallions, to teaching young riders to see the love of horses, David is always willing to help those who want to learn more about horses.
Over the years the horse complex has grown and changed to now include one of the largest indoor arena complexes in the St. Louis metro area. The family has also grown, and the business is operated by three generations.
